ROBBIE IS LEAVING IN ABOUT A MONTH. JUST THE THOUGHT ALONE SCARES ME. I KEEP WONDERING HOW EVAN IS GOING TO DO WITH HIS DADDY GONE. I WORRY FOR HIM. I PRAY THAT GOD GIVES ME THE STRENGTH I NEED TO GET THROUGH THIS. HE IS BASICALLY GOING TO GONE FOR 8 MONTHS. AFTER THE FIRST NINE WEEKS OR SO I WILL HAVE MORE CONTACT WITH HIM BUT IT IS STILL GOING TO BE. I GUESS THIS IS WHAT HAPPENS WHEN YOU MARRY SOMEONE WHO IS IN THE ARMY.  I AM JUST SCARED. HE IS MY ROCK. I AM GOING TO NEED MY FRIENDS AND FAMILY MORE THAN EVER. GOD PLEASE HELP ME GET THROUGH THIS.

homemade laundry soap

2 cups of borax

1 cup of vinegar

1 cup of baking soda

1 bar of ivory  grated

put it all into a large pot. add water until the pot is full. bring to a boil take it off the burner once it is boiling and store it in an air tight container. use about half a cup for super large loads.

salt dough

I found this recipe on another bloggers blog. the imagination tree is the name of her blog check it out you wont be sorry. she has tons of cool ideas. all you need for the salt dough is:

1 cup of flour

1 cup of salt

1/2 cup of water

mix it all together. if it is sticky feeling add more flour to the mixture. one it is all mixed up you can make cute little critters,bowls, names, or flatten it out and put your childs hand or foot creating a cute rock with your childs hand or foot print. once you have the cool creation place it on a cookie sheet. on 200 degrees leave it in the oven for 2 hours. if it is still soft let it bake longer. once the top half gets hard i have discovered that flipping it over so the button half can bake works best. once it is done baking let it cool. then let your child paint it. i am sorry about the photos being side ways. for some reason it would not rotate them

ICE WATER TIME

I GOT SOME ICE PUT INTO A BOWL WITH SOME COLD WATER. GAVE EVAN A SMALLER BOWL, A CUP AND A SPOON. HE HAD A BLAST PLAYING IN THE ICE WATER AND WITH THIS HEAT IT WAS FUN.

something that should be easy is making me pull me hair out

ok i have desided to do something sweet for my hubby. i will tell you at a later date what it is. however in the mean time it was suppose to be something sweet has turned into something that me discouraged, flustered, and annoyed. i am making phone calls that leave me wanting to choke the person on the other end of the phone. grrr. all i need is my questions answered and to pay some people but they wont even allow me to give them money. what kind of person does not want money???? a crazy one. as you can tell i am highly annoyed.

I WATCHED ALOT LIKE LOVE WITH KAYE THE OTHER DAY. LAST TIME I SAW WAS WHEN IT CAME OUT A COUPLE YEARS BACK. I REALLY ENJOYED IT. I LOVE HOW THE GUY PLAYED BY ASHTON KUTCHER AND THE GIRL BY PLAYED AMANDA PEET HAVE ON AGAIN OFF AGAIN RELATIONSHIP. BUT IN THE END DISCOVER THAT THEY ALWAYS HAD EACH OTHER. HE WAS DETERMINED TO FOLLOW HIS DREAMS AND SHE TENDS TO JUST GO WITH THE FLOW. IT AMAZING WHERE LIFE CAN TAKE US AND WE ALWAYS END UP IN ARMS OF THE ONE THAT GOD MEANT FOR US TO HAVE ALL ALONG. NOW I WANT TO WATCH THE MOVIE AGAIN...

HOMEMADE FINGER PAINT

I HAVE SEVERAL RECIPES FOR HOMEMADE FINGER PAINT. MY TWO FAVORITES ARE VERY SIMPLE. THE FIRST ONE ALL YOU WILL NEED IS DISH SOAP, CORNSTARCH, AND FOOD COLORING. PUT THE DESIRED AMOUNT OF DISH SOAP INTO A BOWL ADD CORNSTARCH UNTIL YOU GET THE CONSISTANCY THAT YOU WANT. THEN ADD SOME FOOD COLORING. AND NOW YOU GOT FINGER PAINT. WHEN IT DRIES ON THE PAPER IT IS RAISED AND SOFT TO THE TOUCH. EVAN LOVES IT. THE OTHER RECIPE IS NOT AS GOOD BECAUSE IT HAS A REFIDGERATED WHEN NOT IN USE. YOU TAKE ONE CUP OF FLOUR AND ONE CUP OF WATER. MIX WELL. IF IT IS TO THICK ADD MORE WATER. ONCE YOU FIND THE CONSISTANCY THAT YOU WANT ADD FOOD COLORING.

EVERY TWO WEEKS BARNES AND NOBLE CHANGE THERE FREE BOOKS TO BE DOWNLOADED TO THE NOOK. OR YOU CAN GET THE NOOK APP OF YOUR PHONE OR COMPUTER BUT ANYWAYS BACK TO NICKY CHARLES. HE IS A WRITER FROM CANADA. HIS BOOKS ARE BASED WEREWOLVES. THE TITLES ARE THE MATING,THE FINDING, AND THE KEEPING. I MOST LIKELY GOT THE ORDER THEY GO IN WRONG THOUGH. COLORED RICE

IF YOU TAKE UNCOOKED RICE AND ADD FOOD COLORING TO IT. THE RICE WILL TAKE ON THE COLOR AND BECOME SOMETHING FUN FOR KIDS TO PLAY WITH OR MAKE COLORFUL ART. MY SON AND NEPHEW REALLY ENJOYED PLAYING WITH IT. AND  ONCE THEY ARE DONE PLAYING JUST PUT INTO AIR TIGHT CONTAINER UNTIL PLAY TIME AT A LATER DATE

WE GO TO THE LAKE A LOT DURING THE SUMMER. SO OUR LAST TRIP THERE WE WENT ON A HUNT FOR SHELLS. THE HUNT WAS A LOT OF FUN. WE TOOK THE SHELLS HOME AND CLEANED THEM. MADE SOME FINGER PAINT AND LET EVAN HAVE FUN. THEY TURNED OUT SO CUTE.

MUD DAY AND SO MUCH FUN

AFTER NAP WE WENT OUTSIDE TO PLAY IN MUD. AT FIRST HE DIDNT WANT TO GET DIRTY AND ALL BUT ONCE I SHOWED HIM THAT MUD IS FUN AND MESSY HE LOVED IT. I AM LOVING WATCHING HIM EXPLORE THIS WONDERFUL WORLD THAT GOD CREATED FOR US!

CLEAN MUD.....

IF YOU MIX SHREDDED TOILET PAPER SHREDDED SOAP AND HOT WATER TOGETHER. YOU GET CLEAN MUD. IT TOOK EVAN A FEW MINUTES TO GET USE TO IT BUT HE SEEMED TO ENJOY IT. I LOVE IT BECAUSE IT IS SOAP AND JUST WASHES OFF.

PAINTING COOKIES

I MADE SOME PLAIN SUGAR COOKIES. I BOUGHT ONE CONTAINER OF PLAIN WHITE FROSTING FOR CAKES. I USED AN EGG CARTON TO SEPARATE THE DIFFERENT COLORS LIKE I DO FOR HIM WHEN HE IS PAINTING. I ADDED FOOD COLORING TO EACH SECTION AND MIXED ALL TOGETHER. AT FIRST HE WAS CONFUSED ABOUT USING A PAINT BRUST ON COOKIES BUT ONCE HE GOT OVER THAT HE HAD A WONDERFUL TIME.

HOMEMADE PLAYDOUGH RECIPE

THIS IS SO VERY SIMPLE CAN BE MADE WITH ITEMS YOU HAVE IN YOUR KITCHEN. ALL YOU NEED IS:

1 CUP OF FLOUR

1/2 CUP OF SALT

ONE PACK OF KOOLAID

1/2 CUP OF WATER

 MIX ALL TOGETHER. THE KOOL AID GIVES THE PLAY DOUGH THE COLOR AND IT WONT STINK LIKE OTHER PLAY DOUGHS DO. IT MUST BE STORED IN AN AIR TIGHT CONTAINER WHEN NOT IN USE.

PAINTING ROCKS

I decided that letting Evan paint on rocks could be lots of fun for both of us. so we sent out to gather rocks. after finding the best ones. we went back inside where i let him wash the rocks with cold water, soap, and a tooth brush. then we dried them off and started painting. he had a wonderful time with this and it kept him busy for a nearly an hour.

i have found some cool things

Evan is growing so fast it is unreal. Every day i try to find something new for him to do. He really enjoys the homemade play dough, finger and the crazy wacky ways i find to keep him busy. Today i found the coolest blogger ever. the imagination tree. i love it. she has the coolest ways of keeping little ones busy and not spending an arm and leg. so excited.
    evan had fun today playing with bottle caps and painting. that kept him busy for nearly an hour and a half. naturally i took pictures of him the whole time. tomorrow evan is painting on canvase, playing with caps, and playing in his pool or as he calls it his water haha. being a mother is amazing

play dough

my etsy page is slowly growing in views and i have had one sale. thanks to my awesomely cool sis kaye things are working. she is my go to girl on how to do this and that. she is like an open dictionary i love it and her lol. she has her own etsy page as well. lavenderstarlight.etsy.com is her etsy page. she got the crocheting gene that i messed out on. she is so talented with yarn. i will stick with food, play dough, and photography. coming up soon is something very odd but recycled. i cant wait to get my hands into it.

it is starting out good

i sold my first item on etsy last night i got so excited i nearly started crying. kaye is out in harlem she is set up at trast to treasures. i hope and pray that me and her both make some money today. she took i think 22 things of play dough out there for me. i would have done it myself but i cant cause i am in augusta with a very excited kelci. she is dancing in the roar of love. she is so talented and awesome. i am nervous for her like always right before she goes on stage.

as many know cooking is a major part of life along with photography. but recently i have discovered some new.... making.... play dough. wow it is a lot of fun. it sounds lame i know but it is  cool and fun to make. and my son is enjoying it. i have put it on my etsy page check it out.

something new

i got bored yesterday and instead of pulling out my pots pans and messuring cups to cook. i pulled out all the stuff to make homemade play dough. i forogt how awesome that stuff feels brought back alot of memories at my grandparents house. then just playing around i discovered that homemade play dough is selling on etsy. how cool is that??? so check out my etsy page for recipes photographs and now play dough. and coming soon homemade slime.....ewwwww ....but so much fun.

update

so lunch was a wonderful leftover roast that i the other night for dinner. somethings are just better the second time around and roast is one of  them. not sure yet what is on the agenda for dinner yet but hopefully something yummy.

yummy .... fudge

i came up this fudge recipe when i was bored out of mind had money to spend on playing around with food. it is so yummy. my husband loves it like crazy. i like it alot as well. it is so simple to make but sadly it takes 4 hours to cool which is really sad when you want fudge asap lol.

chicken yum surprise

i stumbed on this and oh thank God i did. i took the chicken breast i had and threw them into the crock pot with one can of cream of mushroom with roasted garlic soup and one can of cream of chicken. with a side of white rice and mixed veggies. oh so good. i gave my sis kaye this recipe i thought she was gonna have a heart attack.

Polyensian pork chops

i would love to report that this is another recipe that i came up with but sadly it is not. i got it off a campbell soup can. it is unbelievable one of my hubby's favorites and i so cant blame him for loving it. it is so good. the recipe calls for onions but i am not a fan of them so i replaced them with mushrooms.

brown sugar chewies

i came up with this recipe about 5 years ago. it is one of my momma's favorites. she loves these like crazy. when she found out i made them today she got overly excited and asked for a few i ended up giving her half of what i made which thrilled her lol. the brown sugar chewies have the consistency of brownies. they are awesome with ice cream or dusted with powder sugar.
